The Maumee volleyball team took a quick break from the grueling Northern Lakes League schedule for a trip outside the league.

But Saturday’s match at Swanton was no less difficult.

The Panthers held on for a clean 3-0 win, but the Bulldogs made Maumee earn every win with set scores of 25-22, 25-22, and 26-24.

The win moved Maumee’s record to 6-2. It followed their 3-1 win over Bowling Green in last Thursday’s NLL match for a two-match winning streak.

It was a fairly clean match from the Panthers, with only six receiving errors, two ball handling errors, and no dig errors.

They had a hitting percentage of .326 and a serving percentage of 94.7.

Brynn Brown led the Panthers with 10 kills, 10 digs, 16 assists, and 16 assists. Jolie Sobb added nine kills and three aces, while Ashlee Arndt and Jessica Perrault each had five kills.

Camy Wedge also had 16 assists, and Kylie Miller tied for the team high with 10 digs.
Maddie Kontak had nine digs, and Katelyn Owens added three blocks and three aces.

Maumee returns to action Tuesday when it travels to Springfield for a NLL match at 6 p.m. The Blue Devils are 1-5 overall and 0-4 in the league. The Panthers are 2-2 in the league, good for fourth place.
