Maumee volleyball completed the season sweep of Bowling Green with a 3-0 road win on Tuesday, also stopping a three-match Northern Lakes League losing streak in the process.

The Panthers won 25-23, 25-20, 25-15, improving to 13-6 overall and 5-6 in the NLL. Maumee beat BG 3-1 earlier this season.

Brynn Brown led the Panthers with 15 kills, 18 digs, 21 assists, and three aces. She now has 202 kills this season with a .298 hitting percentage. She’s also 16 digs and four assists away from 300 in each category for the season.

The Panthers finished with a .267 hitting percentage, their second straight solid match at the net following Saturday’s .370 game against Delta. Prior to that, they had went five consecutive matches with a sub-.200 hitting percentage.

Jolie Sobb added nine kills, 13 digs, and two aces. Jessica Perrault had four kills and four total blocks.

Beth Brady tied with Brown for the team lead with 18 digs. The junior libero has 49 digs in her last three games and 272 for the season.

Camy Wedge totaled 17 assists. The freshman setter has 43 assists in the last three matches and 252 this season.

The Panthers will close out their 2019 home schedule and honor their three seniors — Ashlee Arndt, Chloe Bunce, and Perrault — with Thursday’s match against NLL opponent Springfield. Maumee won the first meeting of the season 3-2.
