Brianna Zattau led Panthers to victory by driving in six runs. She went 3-for-4 at the plate. Zattau drove in runs on a double in the second, a double in the fourth, and a double in the fourth.
Panthers opened up scoring in the first inning. Parris Hurt tripled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
Panthers notched nine runs in the fourth inning. Panthers put the pressure on, lead by singles by Alissa Schnieder, Madalyn Poling, and Nicole Archambeau, doubles by Zattau, Zattau, and Schnieder, and groundouts by Chloe Buck and Taylor Duby.
Ruiz earned the win for Panthers. She allowed zero hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out ten and walking one.
Sadowski took the loss for Start. She lasted four innings, allowing 17 hits and 16 runs.
Panthers scattered 17 hits in the game. Schnieder, Ruiz, Zattau, Hurt, and Poling all had multiple hits for Panthers. Schnieder went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Panthers in hits. Panthers didn’t commit a single error in the field. Archambeau had the most chances in the field with ten.
