Maumee High School 6th 169

The Maumee boys cross country came to run at the district meet Saturday in Ottawa. The team placed 6th overall, just missing advancing as a team to the regional meet by two places. Sophomore Eric Board once again led the Panthers placing 13 with a time of 16:53. A personal best for Eric. Eric’s place allowed him to qualify for the Regional meet held next week in TIffin. Along with Eric, five other runners ran personal best times. Sophomore, Nick Johnstone placed 22 and ran a lifetime PR of 17:23. Next for the Panthers was junior Ethan Chambers running a season best time of 17:26 and placing 23. Freshman Ayden McCarthy continued to cut off time running a 18:32 and placing 48. Last Panther scorer was Chaz Wilms running a PR of 19:05. Completing the varsity squad was Robbie Stevens taking a minute off his best time, running a 19:19 and Alex Stambaugh ran the course in 21:13. The young squad ran a very impressive race.
Panther Eric Board will compete next Saturday and represent the Panthers.
