Maumee fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 14-0 loss to Anthony Wayne on Wednesday. Anthony Wayne scored three runs in the first inning on a sacrifice fly by Carter Holck and a single by Conner Holck.
Drewes was the winning pitcher for Anthony Wayne. He went four innings, allowing zero runs on two hits and striking out two. Sam Conklin threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Austin Pauken took the loss for the Panthers. He went two and a third innings, allowing 10 runs (5 earned) on seven hits and striking out two.
Caden Brookshier and Adam Diegel collected the sole hits for Maumee, singling in the fourth and second inning respectively.
