The Panthers came out and took control early, but could not put the Wildcats away. The Panthers held a six point lead after one quarter and went to half still up six, 23-17. The Panthers found themselves still ahead by four points heading into the fourth quarter. That’s when the Wildcats got hot from the three point line, hitting three of their nine threes to take a six-point lead. The Panthers cut the lead to three; that’s when the fireworks happened. With time running out, Cole Graetz found Aaron Roberts open in the corner and as time expired, Roberts drained a three point shot to send the game to overtime. After both teams held a one point lead, the last of which was Napoleon with ten seconds to play, Kyle Arndt found Cole Graetz on the low block where Napoleon double-teamed him, allowing Graetz to find 6’4″ Jayvon Hutchinson on the opposite block where Hutchinson scored to put the Panthers up by one with two seconds left. Napoleon got a shot off that hit the rim and bounced out as time expired, giving the Panthers a tough fought NLL win 48-47. With that win, the Panthers move to 7-4 overall and 3-3 in the league. The JV boys are back in action next Thursday at 7:30 against Northview. The Panthers were led by Cole Graetz who scored 15 points along with Jaden Walker with 9 and Aaron Roberts with 9 . Jayvon Hutchinson chipped in 6 points to go along with 8 rebounds.
