Southview played an excellent game last night in beating Maumee 73-45. Although Maumee kept the game within range throughout the first three-quarters, Southview made it easy on themselves with an impressive 19-9 scoring advantage in the final quarter.

Maumee coming off a good performance against Anthony Wayne last night, just could not get things going offensively and struggled to make adjustments on the defensive end with a powerful Southview offense. Southview connected on 10 three-pointers and went 9 of 10 on the free-throw line to really coast to the win.

Even though Maumee is 0-4 it is great to be back playing and the team is getting better overall. Maumee’s schedule is loaded with very talented teams this year and they’ll have another strong NLL opponent on Monday at the MLK tourney in Rossford against The TATR.

Leading the Panthers in scoring last night was Cole Graetz chipping in with 13 points and Jaden Walker with 11 points. Aaron Roberts Jr continues to spark on the defensive end as he brings energy and a great work ethic to our team.

Our freshman lost to Southview 24-16. Their record slipt to 1-3 overall.

Our JV team continues to play well and improved to 4-0 beating Southview with an impressive 46-28 win. Many of these JV players are getting action on the varsity team as-well.
