Maumee Panthers Fall Short Against Clay
Despite David Walker putting 19 points on the board, Maumee lost to Clay 79-60. Dustin Aiton helped Clay take the lead for good with a free throw in the third quarter.
The Panthers put up points early in the game, entering the second half with a 34-30 advantage. Clay, however, came back for the victory. Even though Maumee added 18 points in the final quarter, it wasn’t enough to overcome their opponent.
Walker shot well from the field, making 86% (6-for-7) of shots attempted as well as 83% (5-for-6) of threes attempted.
Ben Pacer (12 points) and Jacob Richardson (8 points) each had multiple three-pointers. Also contributing for Maumee were Blake Hazard (8 points, 4 rebounds), Collin McGann (6 points, 2 rebounds), Sam LaChapelle (5 points, 7 rebounds), and Jared Jensen (2 points). Pacer was a big defensive contributor as well, racking up nine rebounds.
Maumee finished the game with 30 rebounds (7 offensive / 23 defensive).
